Select Partition Type - Creating An Extended Partition

Please make sure that Extended partition has been selected and then click Next to Continue.

Specify Partition Size

If you want to use the full capacity of your hard disk drive then you will only need to create the one partition. Leave the value for Partition size in MB as it appears and click Next to continue.

However if you want to specify the size then enter the desired size and click Next to continue.

Completing the New Partition Wizard

All of the settings that you have selected should be displayed and if you wish to change any of them then click Back to make any changes. If you are happy with the settings then click Finish.

Now within Disk Management you should now see that you have Free Space.

You will now need to right click on the Free Space and choose New Logical Drive...

You should now see the New Partition Wizard and this is a very easy way to create a new partition.

Click Next to continue.
