Status Disk Management should report the status of the hard disk drive once the format and the assignment of a drive letter has been completed.

My computer Taking a final look at My Computer reveals that the second hard disk drive can be seen and it should now be accessible.

If you followed the wizards As you can see creating partitions within Disk Management is very easy with help from the easy to follow wizards. You may want to experiment with partition sizes and types before you start to use your second hard disk drive for its intended purpose. As you may have noticed you will have to create an Extended partition before you can create a Logical drive and you can only have a maximum of four Primary partitions. Types and sizes of partitions can be mixed and its entirely up to how you use them.
