The final part of the install is setting up a correct screen resolution, choosing to register or activate [mandatory] and creating user names. Again if you make a mistake it can be changed later on so do not worry.

Windows should now have adjusted your screen resolution and if successful click OK to continue. |

Windows should now start to load so just be patient. |

Choose the way in which your computer will connect to the internet and then click Next. |

You can choose if you want to Activate Windows, you will have to activate eventually but there is no reason to activate just now.

Installing Windows XP Home Edition - Service Pack 2
If you are wanting to install Windows XP with Service Pack 2 then the install is the same as you have just seen. However with the new features that Service Pack 2 brings. You have another screen, from which to choose some options. Once again if you make a mistake you can change the settings once you have installed Windows XP.
If you want Automatic Updates to be turned ON then place a check in the appropriate box.
Click Next when you have made your choice. |

Installing Windows XP Home Edition as you can see is quite easy, when you are required to enter some information it requires no special knowledge. For most of the time you will be waiting for Windows XP to install itself and there is very little input required from you.
